IRA "margin" account. In their recent blurb about IRA margin accounts,IB said something like you can now buy foreign stocks in your IRA if you first convert your base currency to the foreign currency.I want to buy canadian stocks in my IB IRA.Can anyone tell me how to do this?Is it done through account management or do I have to talk to an IB rep?Obviously I am not too bright or I wouldnt be asking so please go easy on me and spell it all out.

  2. If what has told you IB is the case then you just need to convert your usa$ in canadian$ in your IRA before trading your beloved canadian stocks.
