I was curious and looked this up. Their history is on their site: 1998 IB begins to clear online trades for retail customers who are connected directly to Globex to trade S&P futures. https://www.interactivebrokers.com.hk/en/index.php?f=564
Yes, trollboy will go the ends of the earth to try and prove himself right. I should have been more clear, it was 18 years ago 4 months.
You claimed you have an account with them for that long time yet you use every opportunity to complain about them? Is that rational at all?
Show me all of these posts where I complain about them. I've had next to no complaints whatsoever. You continue to troll this site with complete b.s.
One only has to read your drivel in the P&R forums to get a very clear idea about who is putting up lies and falsehood.
In other words, you couldn't find all of those imaginary posts that I've made about IB. Too bad, trollboy.
%% Good question; ever look @ both sides of the trade?????And i wonder how many traders complained-outraged when IB auto[margin call] sell kicked out a sell/close order @ among the worst prices ?? Comprehende??[2] Put another way,C trader are you aware the most foreclosures, come from least money down ????? PS; be careful i noticed questions like this --when silver hit about $50, what was that, about $250,000 per contract ;>> than many houses????? LOL; good question
You do the "comprehende" thing just to annoy people, or are you showing off your Spanish skills (It's comprende by the way)? There are lots of reasons why high margin kills otherwise low to no risk strategies, buying naked futures isn't the only way to trade them. A little humility about the potential that there might be strategies out there that you don't know about or "comprende" would go a long way.
