Options analytics, I think I'm in love!
Wow! Thanks for keeping us up to date Def
Are there any plans for any sort of quick 'on the fly' order entry for a fast trade where we don't have to preset routes? That's the one thing that's totally lacking.
I would be *so* thankful for that
Great idea agent99! especially for those out of the blue news plays.
Actually, if done right, I could see getting rid of most of the pages I now have with preset routes on them. I have tons of pages, and because there's no way to keep them sorted in an orderly way, sometimes it's hard to find what I'm looking for if I want to trade fast. An 'on the fly' order entry that brings up all of the possible routes at once would eliminate the need to store many of my pages at all.
agent 99, what you are referring to I believe is to have a default setting for destination/routing
this has been suggested before and passed on to def and to IB for their consideration
thanks for your ideas
A default setting for destination routing is not what I had in mind. I don't think that goes far enough. I would love to see an entry box at the top of the TWS display where you could enter a symbol, and it brings up a market depth box, from which you could enter an order with it showing up right in that screen, based on a default trade size that you set, and which you could adjust in terms of price and share size in that window (as opposed to having to click on to the main window which is what happens now).
I think something like that would be very elegant and welcomed by many traders.
Yes your idea is MUCH better agent99.
I think this has been requested before, but trailing stops would be awesome. Any chance that will happen? David D.
IB Chairman is against trailing stops..so I doubt it. He comments on it on website.
re trailing stops, def has taken my suggestion for a trailing stop that is only active during regular mkt hours (rather than until cancelled)
we're hoping that this compromise will be agreed to by the chairman (as a one day trailing stop will not have enough time to 'bunch up' - what the chairman is concerned with)
since this is a little sensitive def mentioned that he will bring it up when he has a chance to sit down with him next time
