I'm having trouble understanding exactly what the p/l column and total are telling me. Is it totals for the day or since the position was open, or what? Thanks for your help.
When I enter a stop order, the hotkeys no longer work to change the price, does anybody else have this problem? Limit orders do not exhibit this behavior. In addition it would be nice if by default the stop-limit order could be used without going into the separate order dialog. Just assume the stop and limit are at the same price.
This would be such a simple solution ! Please, please, please. Stop limits : price displayed is both election and limit price ! neo
I downloade d722e build today, and I noticed that the P&L column is reversed for me. I restarted, but the problem didn't go away. Fleance
Really like it! Since I'm trading mainly e-minis, I have the 'market depth' window open at all times. The problem I'm having is that the font size that I set for the TWS does NOT affect the market depth window. I use a size 16 bold font for TWS - works great. The default font on market depth windows keeps eveything so small that I CAN'T READ IT ON MY SCREEN! I use 17" monitors @ 1280x1024. Market depth is TINY. IB chat confirmed this is not changeable. DEF - Could IB please have the market depth font size change when the main TWS window font setting is changed? I sent IB an email but just want to share with others to see if this is a problem for anyone else. TIA, BigEd.
Does anyone know how Relative Orders work? I just discovered that option today (build 721a), but when I checked manual, user's guide, and release notes, I didn't find it mentioned anywhere.
Anyone care to reply to my earlier post re: TWS and fonts? Anyone else use market depth? If so, do you have trouble reading it with a high resolution screen size? The executions and account window have the same problem as well. Thanks, again. BigEd.
@tntneo Try creating an order, open the Order Ticket panel, and select Relative in the Pricing Field. Or create an order and change it to REL using the Type droplist, but this will tell you that you have to use the Order Ticket panel.
@BigEd This will not help you with your problem, but in my opinion, 1280*1024 is a bit too much for even a really good 17" monitor. The maximum recommended resolutions are 1024*768 for a 17", 1280*1024 for a 19", and 1600*1200 for a 21/22" (and even that is considered too much by some people).
