    1) I chuckle a little every time I see new hotkeys get added, while my simple request for a "kill switch" (cancel all) hotkey gets ignored.

Am I really the only one that needs the ability to instantly cancel all orders when "something bad" happens? The amount of time (e.g. 2 seconds) it takes to select Cancel All from the menu can make the difference between getting hit or not.

Even without something bad happening, I routinely use cancel all to kill my orders prior to scheduled news (e.g. at 08:30 EDT). It's a lot faster than sending all the individual cancels through the API. It would be nice to have a hot-key shortcut for this.

    2) On a related issue, would anyone else like to see the ability for IB's servers to cancel all your open orders if you are disconnected for some configurable period of time? Internet connectivity in my local area has become spotty because of problems that Verizon is having. I'd worry less if, when I get disconnected for more than 30 seconds (i.e. more than just a momentary interruption), all my orders were killed to cut my exposure.

    alan,
item 2 is already available for institutional accounts. if you want your account set up that way, make the suggestion. I think it can be done. If you get a negative resps. send me an e-mail.

as for the kill all hot key. I'll make the request and try to get it on the queue. Keep in mind you're one out of a few thousand making different suggestions.

Menu bar: I personally would like to see a function key or an alt something to toggle it on/off the screen.

No, you are not the only one.

The Old version Of TWS used to have it, and I have asked for it in many e-mails/suggestions to IB. It is a great feature for the reasons you mentioned.

One other suggestion: The last update, did include a hot key for removal of filled orders, but only if you first highlight them.

def: could you please ask IB programers, that the filled orders in the page are removed with this hotkey without having been highlited first?

    TIA

  4. Def,
How are the Globex stop-limit orders progressing,
a couple of weeks ago you said they were testing
them and then nothing since then.

    Thanks

Little off topic, but I didn't want to start another thread. :)

Using IB, can I offset a trade from the day session with a trade in the night session?

    Thanks.
