I downloaded it from their site and will start working on integrating it now. It says you need to get the latest beta version of tws to use it which is not standalone. They give a couple of sample programs which show the functionality. Interestingly enough they also have a sockets versions in the works. Looks like I spoke too early it won't connect to the tws. But you can at least start coding.
tried www.interactivebrokers.com/download/InstallAX.exe cannot use the file, always had file size error... anybody else running into same problem?
hey guys. I opened an account with IB. but i got problem using their trading software. IB told me its my NIC problem, any one of you have the same problem? and anyone know how to solve it? Can i access the account and trade using IE6?
T4life, I had the same problem using a Linksys NIC. The system would crash when using the TWS software, either standalone or web based. I replaced it with the 3COM NIC recommended by IB and never had a problem after that. Very weird problem and I was never able to get an explanation of why this was a problem Echo
thanks for the reply. i think I will go get that 3 com NIC card. there technical service is horrible. put me on hold over half hrs. and told me there is nothing wrong with it.
I had the same problem when I got a new computer with a pre-istalled card. I pulled the 3com NIC out of my old computer and installed it in the new one - haven't had a problem since.
I just tried the Excel integration using tws.xls and the standalone version. It works, but I get strange values for the prices. They are randomly multiplied by 10**14, 10**15 and sometimes by 1. Does anybody have a clue, similar experience or may be a solution for the problem? I´m using build 750.5
