Great to have user configurable sounds available now. Unfortunately, they did not implement separate sounds for partial fills and the completion of an order. But maybe in the next release?

Thank god IB has blessed us with this fabulous DDE interface. Now it's finally possible to implement your own rapid order entry interface just the way you've always wanted it.

I've integrated my QCharts with TWS so that I can transmit marketable limit orders with a simple double click on an L2 quote or place non-marketable orders via the trade context menu. Beats any rapid order entry interface IB could ever implement in within TWS in terms of speed and convenience. Those missed entries on momentum and news triggered setups are a thing of the past now.

How did you manage to do this? Do you have to know programming? Is it something peculiar to QCharts, or can you do this with any quoting package? I would love to have the option of trading from a level 2 box.

I just installed TWS 750.4 and noticed the great new 'Close Position' option in the menu. Is there any way that we can get that option included in the Hot Key list?

    Thanks,

Possible bug in the Hot Key setting for the Rapid order entry:

After I made an assignment to the Rapid Order Hot key setting, it would type the assigned key in the symbol box. For example, if I assigned 'Q", when I hit Q, it sent me to the symbol entry box, but also typed Q in the box. The only key that seemed to work without a problem was the tab key.

  6. is there any new info if there is a possibility to trade US futures out of a multicurrency account soon (either futures multicurrency or the all-in-one account based on mult.curr.)

    Thanks in advance

it is being worked on now and assume it will be released shortly. i was told 2 weeks a few weeks ago. thus, let me call it a rolling two week schedule :) After that next on the agenda looks to be the ability to trade multiple accounts via one workstation.

agent99, it looks to be purposely designed that way - probably because of the speed tab feature and a way to "understand" when an order is meant to be sent to the exchange.

one other feature that I believe is in the process of being rolled out behind the scenes --- the ability to sell short from a long position. ie. say you are long 200 shares and want to sell 500. in the past TWS would only allow you to sell 200 to close and then you would have to enter an other order to sell the balance. i hope i'm not jumping the gun on this one but it looks like you'll be able to just enter an order for 500 and the softeware will take care of correctly flagging/splitting the orders.

That’s excellent news for all of us, but specially for ddefina and his style of trading.

    Well done IB (and def).

Trading multiple accounts via one workstation will benefit me greatly. IB has really made a lot of advances in the TWS software in the past 6 months, nearly all of them moving toward customization and allowing the trader to personalize the interaction. This is great for all of us.

    Thanks Again!!!
