IB HotKey and XKeys

  1. I've got IB hotkeys assigned to my xkeys keyboard no problem but my questions is this: I'd like to set up some hotkeys that would not only buy or sell but buy specifically ES, NQ etc.

Unless I'm missing something, you have to highlight the appropriate order row with the mouse before using a hotkey so TWS 'knows' which instrument you wish to perform the action on.

Is there a way to program a hotkey sequence so you could buy a specific ticker, basically without mouse intervention?

  2. If the order of the tickers is always the same, you could program an xkeys seqeunce to go down X number of rows.

I don't know what XKeys is, but if it's a macro tool, you can create separate pages for each contract and detach them. Then, have XKeys send the keystrokes to the appropriate window (the caption of the window is the same as the page name).
