I thought I had disabled/fixed most of IB's annoying bells, alerts and pop up messages but there is one I cannot find. Whenever I execute an order I get this annoying sound like a crowd of people whistling, clapping and cheering. Does anyone know where I can find this to shut it down? Thanks Damo
heh...it's IB, taking position against you on other side get especially loud,when you place large market order go to configure-> Misc->sound Manager->take your pick. or uncheck check box on left
Yeah I always get sounds like a cash register or a slot machine jackpot when I trade with IB. I just ignore 'em...
I was actually looking at that sound file menu last night. Who knows where it is in the IB menu maze. I sometimes use eSignal as a front-end and I think that sound is native to eSignal. I don't think that's the case for IB.
