hi all, i am trying to understand what is going-on on this T&S snapshot for the pair cad.chf : if you look @ 10:10.03 , you will see the ask price went below the last bid price, while at that time, there was no bid ! ??? what would have happened if i shorted MKT on that milli-second where was no bid??? i am not sure if this is a reliable quotes or not, someone from IB please explain how could such a thing happen on IDEALPRO exchange. Thanks.
The IB feeds are notorious for being slow and unreliable, they even say so themselves, in terms of update speed. You should only use them as indicative, not completely true, especially for forex. And don't worry, there's always a bid somewhere out there, you would've gotten filled at a decent price for the spread they offer, even if no bid was displayed. If the bid/ask is really important to you, you may consider buying some other feeds, but the really good ones for forex are expensive because they need to involve a lot of sources.
