Just got this email from IB: <i>We have recently created a special profit and loss statement for your 2005 Futures Options. The profit and loss was not included on your original 2005 annual statement so this information will supplement what was already provided. To view your 2005 Futures Options Profit and Loss statement, go to Account Management/Report Management/Statements.</i> Does this mean the information was not included in the 1099 for futures? Or just not on the original yearly statement? SSB
I don't know the current regulations on futures options. Securities options are not included in the 1099, per IRS rules.
IB has a 1099C substitute composite form that lists net futures gains/losses. I don't know if the numbers on the new report are included in those numbers or not. SSB
Futures options P&L was not included in the 1099C form. I don't know if it should have, but sure it was not.
