    Matt,

I use Mytrack for charts, quotes etc... and IB for orders. Works OK for me. I trade stocks, options and e-minis.

  2. I use IB and have really grown to like the standalone TWS for my trading. Setting up some hotkeys (or "hot-clicks" for me) made the difference.

I believe IB charges 0.003 per share for API generated orders.

  3. IB charges API fees for certain instruments/exchanges after X number of order modifications. GLOBEX is free to the best of my knowledge.

  4. AmbushHillbilly, let me qualify your statement -

IB charges 0.003 per share for API "ROUTED" orders.

If you are using SMART routing or trading Globex for example, there are no extra fees for using API vs directly through TWS.

As for other front ends, QuoteTracker:
    http://www.quotetracker.com

You can use IB as the datafeed for QT or select a different quote source (including myTrack). Can trade through IB as well as myTrack and a number of others.

  6. Hi Matt,

Here at eSignal we have formed a partnership with Interactive Brokers and have integrated their application into ours. In our most recent upgrade (version 7.4) we've added the ability to customize your own order ticket that works with IB.

For a quick demo of the feature, please click here for a 3 minute video.
