IB Frequent disconnections today

I'm on the HK server. I've had at least 20-30 disconnections that last for about 1-2 seconds to the hkfarm, all other farms have remained connected with this happens.

Anyone else having this problem?

 

None today. 882.2 on HK from Aus (telstra) and 100% uptime.

 

ib's shitty charts are down for all asian indicies. es and dax are fine, all asian have been down for like 1/2 hour.

and, yes... the way i use charts, ib's are fine- but not when they are blank. can't trade right now because of it...

 

This seems to be your clue to go get a professional chart service. LOL.

Or for a very reasonable upgrade ... Sierra Chart.

 

There are many possible Points of Failure between You and IB. While IB is not perfect, neither are the intermediates.

Here are things you can check:

1. IB web page for system status.
http://individuals.interactivebrokers.com/en/software/systemStatus.php

2. go to cnn.com and play one of those news videos. If the videos come through smooth and clear, it is most likely your internet connection is not at fault.
