Ive emailed and talked to various different "support" people repeatedly over multiple years and i just get lip service, if you know someone higher up who i could talk too im all ears.
The email address ibmgmt [At] interactivebrokers.com is read by the owner and the senior managers. Skip customer support.
Ill give that a try, do you think my initial post on this thread is too harsh, i really dont feel like taking a half an hour to figure out a new one.
After years of dealing with IB, and various other shit brokers, i just dont have any confidence, or any patience so i simply fired off the first letter and added the following to the bottom. Im too lazy, i sent the letter from the first page with this attached: Last year i paid 50k in commissions, and im a piker, there is hundreds of people like me, you guys could literally hire a full time IT person for the amount you are kissing off in commissions by ignoring real traders, and real bugs in the software. I have talked to customer support numerous times over the course of a decade and not 1 issue ever got fixed, do you guys even understand the amount of business you are losing?
LOL, got an instant response, was pretty excited at first, until i realised that once again im probably talking to a bot and nobody of any significance will ever see my post. This is the scary part, i dont even want to share my real email with them cause im scared some cocksucker in their tech/brokerage department will get a hardon for me and decide to make my life/trades miserable. Fuck it sent it out on my personal email, im basically shopping for brokers again anyways since i cant make it work with IB's software anyways. I just wired out all my free money that came back from a failed broker on friday, perhaps it would have been smarter to wait for that wire to go through before i started this, lol, oh well. I just added the following to the first page, and thats all i said: Last year i paid 50k in commissions, and im a piker, there is hundreds of people like me, and a half a dozen i personally know who are bigger than me. You guys could literally hire a full time IT person for the amount you are kissing off in commissions by ignoring real traders, and real bugs in the software, you could hire a full time person just based on ME. I have talked to customer support numerous times over the course of a decade and not 1 issue ever got fixed, do you guys even understand the amount of business you are losing? I am very sorry if this letter sounds blunt, and sounds harsh, but after years of going through the same process it just feels like something needs to be said, and it is for YOUR benefit if you guys fix the software. As a trader the only thing that matters to me at the end of the day is the bottom line, and you guys are losing a lot of money by not fixing simple errors in your software, i can only hope someone there who can do something, gets this message and you understand. Sincerely
Guys is there anyway to get VWAP right to work on the chart? It's really very nice indicator but in IB it doesn't work properly. I wish IB makes it work proper way.
I am with Max E Pad on this since I also use a bunch of brokers. The IB charting needs a plotted intra-day & multi-day VWAP to be in the same leauge as your competitors. It would also be nice to be able to see more than a year of futures historical chart data. Any why are your margins on IRA's so high? On TDA my Roth initial overnight margin on the NQ is $5,297 - on IB it is $20,000.
