IB F#@%* service!

    I just opened an accout with IB and I got to tell you, everthing everybody says on here about their customer service is right. What a joke!!!!!!!!!!
  2. That may be your experience, or you might be one of the usual crop of bashers...

    But my experience is that IB is GREAT!!!

    I have ALWAYS had good service! You can't beat the markets, free API or COMMISSION!

  4. Just curious, what is your intention for this thread?

    Is it to publicly vent your frustration on an anonymous forum? If so, do you feel better now that you have accomplished this?

    Or...is it to find other people who agree with you so that you feel somehow vindicated?

    Or...is it because it looks fashionable to start threads with IB in the title along with some other inflammatory words or phrases?

    You read all of the earlier comments yet you still openened an account with IB! You walked in with your eyes open so there can't be any surprise on your behalf. Your preconceptions might also have exacerbated the problems you have faced (I don't know the details)

    I'm genuinely confused and curious as to why one would start such a thread as this and what is hoped to be accomplished here!

    I agree 100% I was aware of the cust. service headaches. I am the type of person that lets management and other people know when there is a problem with a company. How do you think companys' that have problems become aware that their customers may not be happy? From people like me that make them aware. Did you ever stop to think that if a company's management hears enough complaints they might do something to change it? You must be one of those timid little fella's that let people and businesses walk all over them. Now go to the beach and let someone kick sand on you.

    Rude and inconsistent info. One person tells me one thing and another tells me something else.

    I got an account because of the comm. and platform.

    Yep, that happens. I think they want new customers to:

    1. Read through the entire website.
    2. Avail themselves to webinars.
    3. D/L the TWS manual.
    4. Use the paper trader to familiarize themselves with the platform.

    Thing is, not all possible questions can be answered with the above. But at least one would have an "informed" question.

    Truth be told, I've never had a rude experience with them.

    What broker were you using before them? Or currently?
