I am having hard time on using the twsdde.xls. I installed the latest version of tws and dde package. Configure API to enable DDE clients, socket is 7496. When I opent twsdde.xls. I input my account log in name xiaozhi123 (for example) in the user name. and when I click request market depth, it just freeze the excel. (I looked in task manager, there is two excel application called twsdde.xls. this is weird since I just open one. I think it must call itself as recurse or something like this..) I used to be able to use the twsdde.xls with my own coding. Now even the orginal file I downloaded does not work. I also did a test to see if the dde link works by just enter =xiaozhi123|refreshRate!millisec?1 into any excel workbook to test if it is linked to the TWS workstation runing under baomx890 user name. It just does not work any more. Weird enough, it works under windows XP safe mode.. anyone know how should I fix this. Called IB and they have no ideas. I have reinstalled several times...
