  1. Aside from today, I havnt been DOWN courtesy of IB this year. The only other issue was the random pink outs back in April.... But nothing like today. at least I could track my positions even if I couldn't execute.

" And this other broker that has never gone down in 11 years is ?? And the commission rates you pay are "

They are UK brokers and i pay more than double of IB fees.
If i give you more details than this i will get reported by Mr Atticus for breaching ET rules and this will result in a yellow card against me.

He is already accusing me of being a trouble maker.

He is also accusing me of being CYOF, ATEHT, Socco and Bulldozer.

Next month he might accuse me of being Sorros or Buffett:mad:

  5. I know how often they are down and when , I trade with them .
Overall they are very reliable . I have used other brokers which I will not name that have had more down time and worse issues then what I saw today .

I agree. Aside from their sometimes surly representatives, I have found their service quite acceptable in the past 18 months. I am, however, still concerned about this issue and I am hoping that an IB representative will explain what happened. I've been toying with opening a Tradestation account to get their charting and data anyway, so this has given me incentive to do that so I can have a backup broker as well. From what I read in other threads here, Tradestation might be less reliable than IB, but the redundancy would be comforting.

  9. I've never referred to you as "Socco" or "Bulldozer"; therefore you've just outed yourself under those aliases as well.
