A few things, IB, doesn't mail out statements to decrease costs, and usually pass the savings on to you.

IB could provide a PAID PAPER statement option.

So if you want to PAPER statement, you pay for it.

If you do not need paper statement, you pay nothing.

At the end, IB may not necessary have to increase it cost...........

It is just a client/customer friendly option.

I'm sure IB is thinking, "With electronic storage, why would you want paper statements?" I would agree. Print out your own statements at your own cost if you want hard copies.

I would agree that if do not need DAILY paper statement.

But how about MONTHLY paper statement?

But how about QUARTERLY paper statement?

But how about YEARLY paper statement?

Just offer an option for account holders, let them have an option to decide they want paper statement or not. Set the price, they pay for it ................

DO not eliminate their freedom to select option ........

You can download monthlies online. You can also download a yearly online as I recall. Not sure about quarterly. Anyway, if you want to pay for it, fine. But I wouldn't hold my breath for IB to implement this as they don't seem to respond very quickly to suggestions that are outside of their traditional business plan: making things electronic and more efficient. Good luck.

  6. I think the best bet is sending your password and account information to the guy that offered to do it for you, along with a roll of stamps and a rheem of paper. (And $200.00 for his time)
Then you should go for the tattoo on the foot, but for added security, have it done backwards so someone would have to use a mirror to read it.
Lastly, make sure you request all your share certificates to be delivered to your home, then sign them and send them back once you sell them.
As an after thought, you might open a trouble ticket once you start feeling a little ill, just to be safe. Then perhaps send a request that if they don't hear from you in say...6 months that they should have a courtesy call to make sure you are OK.
You know, since you seem like such a nice guy, give me your number and I'll call you every 6 months to make sure you are still OK, then if you don't answer, I'll start a trouble ticket for you.

Gees.... do you have any insurance? I am sure you do, right?

PAPER statement (customer paid for that) mis just an insurance policy ........ just in case if something happen some one will know you have account with IB .... But before that, you would like to keep it privately .......

    Change over to TD-Ameritrade!

They got hacked, so all the information is in good hands, like at professional spammers. This way you can be sure that not only your relatives, but also half the world knows about your account details.

P.S.: The good thing is that TDA also included your Social Security Number, so nobody has to search your home for any personal details, they can just take a look at their junk mail folder.

  9. I think sellingrich has nailed this one down. Is this offer only for the original poster, or this a service you are willing to mass market?

    Awesome man. awesome.
