anyone having issues with the account window and trades we have noticed over the last 3 hrs that trades are not showing and the account windows p/l is changing without trading. we have several accounts that are now showing that the trades we traded but now the profit made is gone. ie one account was up close to 3k now shows under 1k realized P/L w
made a phonecall to TISCALI (ISP). Had same problem 3 weeks ago and they resolved it. Now they said to me, i am nit the only one to have this problem .... its a connection problem, and they are investigatin again....
just made the ping again, and now it works perfect, about 150ms, never seen bevore to IB. Even the tracert has changed. Maby they changed the route today to IBs servers. Would be a good thing.
noticed the disconnect around 7a.m. and again just after 8pm each time only lasted a few seconds and then logs back on w
thats exactly what support told me: the server sends pings to check if you are online, if the response is to slow (over 180ms) then the server think, you are gone and disconnect. After a few seconds server check again and voilá you are online again.... My ISP made some changes 1 hr bevore (it seems) and now i have a fast connection to IBs Server, will see if problem persist. My resolution was to transfer my login to the European Server (212.243.80.1) and there i have no problems (50ms). Support told me the datafeed still comes from US Server, but my trading connectiojn should be stable... Changes are made during weekend, so Monday I will have results
TWS disconnections for the 4th day in a row. Location Netherlands. Very annoying. Definitely not ISP-related.
moarla, How do you change from US to european gateway? Do you change it in jts.ini file? or you have to ask IB to make the switch for you?
