IB says, there was a problem on one of the servers on Thuesday, but not on Monday...If today we have the same problems, call free number 00 800 42 27 65 37 and ask for Doby B, he will make a couple of tests.....and give notice here

STPLMT orders give strange errors during entering, only for tickers that you have no data it seems.
No such problems in the previous version.

i made a phone call to IB, and we found out, that my connection was too slow. On a ping i had max 250ms and IB server needs 170-180ms to recognice that i am still online. So my ISP is tiscali. Anyone else on tiscali?
PS: I changed to european gateway, there i had a ping max 37ms. So there the connection for trading should be faster and stable, the marketdata comes still from US server....

    PING gw4.ibllc.com (208.245.107.6) 56(84) bytes of data.
    64 bytes from gw4.ibllc.com (208.245.107.6): icmp_seq=1 ttl=106 time=140 ms
    64 bytes from gw4.ibllc.com (208.245.107.6): icmp_seq=2 ttl=106 time=139 ms
    ...
    PING mktgw1.ibllc.com (208.245.107.9) 56(84) bytes of data.
    64 bytes from mktgw1.ibllc.com (208.245.107.9): icmp_seq=1 ttl=106 time=139 ms
    64 bytes from mktgw1.ibllc.com (208.245.107.9): icmp_seq=2 ttl=106 time=137 ms

we go down here and have for months several times a day, for seconds or minutes.
it happens after hours as some of us trade futures then, happened today premarket.
    Happened to my remote traders
What I find is when we get a bulletin premarket or just around open about ecn's etc I find we will have issues as the market is getting ready to run long or short.
I personally find we have issues just prior to large short squeezes like today in all sectors, futures, gold.
    some one wants out
