IB Data Feed Problems?

Discussion in 'Data Sets and Feeds' started by jetbird, Oct 4, 2006.

  1. I don't think it's the build -- I just downgraded to 861.5 and have the same problem. It takes longer than usual to connect to the data farms I noticed.

  4. Wow, can it finally be that others see the same problem I've been having intermittently for months now? 2-3 times a week, right on schedule, 9:45 - 10:15 or so EST, quotes start to lag, eventually lock, then gradually get back on course.

If it's the same problem you should see it resolved by around 10:15.

Out here in Santa Barbara. It's totally screwed up. Huge delays. Book trader has huge gaps. Shhheeesh! Untradeable. And to think I get up so early for this.

  7. Ugh, I got a little suspicious that we might get some technical issues when I couldn't log on to my account management over the weekend. Usually they shut down TWS over the weekend but leave the account management server up, but they must've done some kind of an upgrade on their end that's causing this. :(

  8. Whatever the cause of this problem, it's burning a new hole in my wallet every time I can't make a trade. SF Bay Area.

  9. Yes, Globex sure is a problem with IB today.

    Some Time&Sales from this morning
    10:00:08 1
10:01:34 1000 (more than a minute between the ticks)

    10:01:55 1
    10:03:23 1000 (1.5 minutes later...)

I'm NOT going to trade with this crappy feed today.

IB - no bulletin so far about the Globex feed, even though it sucks??

Great. After the bigger more predictable moves. If this keeps up they'll lose customers. I don't get up at 6 AM to deal with this. Now it's saying it's okay but it's not okay. It's just the same as it was.
