I am still in the process of transfering an account over to IB (3+ weeks) but I put in a check the other day and my funds are finally "available" and I can get some data. I am wondering, I am not interested in trading these products, but would like to see data on them. I would like to see asian futures products as well as forex data. Currently I just have a cash account, is it not possible to get data for these products? I am in the US and my account is in USD. I hope to get my acct tx over already (not too happy with IB about the holdup) so i can start trading with IB!!
No, you won't be able to get the data. You need to upgrade to a margin account. You can access this via the Account Management menu.
