IB : could SGXNK be offsetted by NIY?

Anyone knows this?

If I have some SGX's Nikkie 225 (IB symbol: SGXNK), could I offset it by using CME's Nikkie 225 (IB symbol : NIY) through Interactivebrokers?

 

I offset SGXNK by NKD when singapour is closed

 

Sure, but realize they're not equal tick values. NKD = $500 per point with SGXNK = $425.

 

You can offset but you will not save on margin.

 

FYI, there is a mutual offset facility between the exchanges but due to cost and frankly lack of demand, it's rec'd a low priority on the todo list and we haven't programmed it yet.
