IB Connection problems

  1. Are you running QuoteTracker? It will try to connect if you select IB as the quote source.

    There must be a program running on your computer trying to connect with the TWS API. You should be able to disable all connection attempts by going to "Configure" on the top bar and then to "API". Uncheck all boxes.

  2. Another solution is to delete TWS and then reload it. Not very high tech but it might just solve your problem. I haven't had any connection problems in many months. I sometimes loose data but it comes back within seconds.
