IB changing the Quote subscription

  1. Yes, but it is an add on so you must subscribe to the Securities Snapshot and Futures Value Bundle as well. The $4.50 add on will make the securities quotes real time, and you get options too.

  2. I'm not sure whether I am the only one noticing this. As of today, April 3rd, am I not receiving historical price data for exchange ARCA any longer. I thought that ARCA is part of NYSE and that a subscription to "NYSE (Network A/CTA)" would include this. If this is not the case, what subscription do I need to get price information on ETFs which trade at ARCA?

  3. Has the new snapshot quote system gone into effect yet. I did not change any of my market data subscriptions, but I am still getting realtime quotes?

As I'm sure you're guessing, there are multiple subscriptions that might do it.
"The old way" of getting (IMO) the best knowledge from the Data Manager is to get into Global Configuration/Display/TickerRow/Market Data and check/uncheck it so that all unsubscribed asset lines have a Subscribe To Market Data switch on each line. The choices presented are "often" self-explanatory.

Take your time. Repeat. Save often.

In order to get real-time quotes for ARCA you have to subscribe to NYSE ArcaBook which is $11.00 a month for non-professional. I am not sure if this would cover historical price data for ARCA but it may be worth a shot.

To be sure, you could ask an IB rep.

  6. Up to and including last Friday was I able to download the historical prices. I did not have this Arcabook subscription. I'm not sure why I would suddenly need it today.

Anyone know if footprint imbalance charts (AKA volumetric bar charts) for equities and ETFs will work with just the Securities Snapshot and Futures Value Bundle and/or NYSE/NASDAQ streaming or would it require NYSE Imbalance and NASDAQ Imbalance data as well?

Asking because I don't find any detailed description on what the Imbalance data subscriptions actually give. If the snapshots and / or live streaming tape subscriptions are sending executed trade data, what is Imbalance data?
