It seems that on IB TWS you can modify multiple orders but I haven't found a way to create them on a single order window. As a result I'm forced to manually create many orders then use the 'modify multiple orders', this is inefficient
The first thing that comes to mind for me is that you can load up a basket via a txt or excel file and submit via the basket trader. http://www.interactivebrokers.com/e...debook/specializedorderentry/baskettrader.htm
You're right, it's absolutely ridiculous. Surely entering in the following on the one ticket should be a given - Buy 1 lot of Gold @ 1650 If filled work the following - Sell 1 @ 1680 OCO Sell 1 @ 1640 stop. I'd love to know their reasons for not allowing these types of orders, but then again if you ask support their answer will probably be something random like 'yes, you can send a wire to your bank in Japan'
That's a bracket order. What am I missing here: http://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/trading/orders/bracket.php Bracket orders are designed to help limit your loss and lock in a profit by "bracketing" an order with two opposite-side orders. A BUY order is bracketed by a high-side sell limit order and a low-side sell stop order. A SELL order is bracketed by a high-side buy stop order and a low side buy limit order.

But if you order have multiple target or stops, then there is not much options there. I am actually looking to open another account with a different broker because IB cannot do this.
