I am also trying to get the IBController to work (willing to take what I can) and I get this error when I double click on IBController "Jave Virtual Machine Lancher" = name of child window popup "Failed to load Main-Class manifest attribute from c:\Jts\IBController\IBController.jar" Any help would be super great. You guys have done a wonderful job with the workaround. I am hoping to be able to use it again with my new computer Thanks
It seems that I can get the 32 bit version to work sometimes. after clicking an order and getting the confirmation popup once and I click confirm it will do it on that one and only one book trader. if i open up another book trader it stops working some more info, I have two video cards giving me quad monitors (not sure if that should matter as it worked with xp64 that way but thought i would include the info) Thanks Robert
Robert: Don't know what Enterprise Win 7 64 bit is but I'm running under Win 7 Professional 64 bit. Here is where things are: Java (1.6_24) is under C:\Program Files\ Java\jre6 IB Controller is under C:\IB Controller TWS is under C:\JTS Desktop shortcut to launch TWS under IBController [Properties\Target] = C:\IBController\IBControllerStart.bat Batch file = C:\WINDOWS\system32\java.exe {... removed some java tweaks here that do not affect test operation...} -cp C:\JTS\jts.jar;C:\JTS\pluginsupport.jar;C:\JTS\jcommon-1.0.12.jar;C:\JTS\jfreechart-1.0.9.jar;C:\JTS\jhall.jar;C:\JTS\other.jar;C:\JTS\rss.jar;C:\JTS\hsqldb.jar;C:\IBController\IBController.jar ibcontroller.IBController IBController.ini TWS, Java, and IBC installed by default as 64 bit. Copied the batch file from my old machine when I moved it a few months back. Added the special\modified "auto-click" jar file. I assume you moved\installed the asterix modified jar to your new machine. I've messed with IB Controller over the years to avoid the TWS timeout so I've embedded the paths as you see above. No longer sure what the defaults are. I reopened and ran TWS today after the close using the above batch file, not my normal batch file. Everything loaded and Booktrader responded based on a single click. I hope this helps. PM if you need clarification. Jack
i have the same problem as Robert. i went from vista 64 bit to Ultimate 32 bit, and single click no longer works.
I was able to get the IBController to work THANKS JACK !! but i get an error a lot and it freezes up TWS java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen 09:44:44:69 AWT-EventQueue - 0: Error It also seems to have other errors but it keeps scrolling up so I have not been able to capture it. But this out of mem error keeps printing in the black command box over and over pool-3-thread-1:Query for leg liquid hours failed AWI-EventQueue-0: Error: could not get market rule for 86268225/smart
Your idea would be ideal, dont. In the order confirmation popup, the default button is 'Cancel'. So when that popup is open, keying 'enter' would cancel the order. I suggested to IB that they make the 'Transmit' button the default, then with one hand on the keyboard, and one on the mouse I could Click and Enter for an almost instant order, but IB would not do that either. Another solution I suggested would be if instant orders executed from the TWS main page would appear in BookTrader, but no action on that either. It doesn't seem like IB has made any effort at all to create a workaround. Strange though, about 1 of every 4 orders I enter is executing immediately in BT, and I can't find a pattern as to why/when it happens. davez
Thanks for the reply, Pescador. Buttons in BT is what I've used for years (though sometimes BT hotkeys) but for months now those buttons (and BT hotkeys) trigger the popup confirmation window. In my buttons setup, I did before and still do have the 'instant order execution' box checked, but despite that - the popup. My button orders simultaneously create bracket orders, and even to move those - the popup. I am amazed that yours will immediately execute. Did you re-create them recently, or have any idea why yours are still working? davez
