I would suggest to create a new thread for any question not directly related to the confirmation pop-up in BookTrader. This will make life easier for anyone desperately looking all over the net for a solution to the pop-up nuisance. This thread is already 45 pages long.
WOW, I am trying it outside trading hours but it seems to be a lot better !! Thank you very much. Free beer for you anything in your my neck of the woods in Wisconsin !!
Yes, free beer, pretzels & anything else I can offer (well, almost). But I doubt you'll be in my neck of the woods anytime soon (in the Middle East). Thank you, thank you, thank you Asterix and anyone else contributing to the IB Controller work. Thank you, Mark for the "for dummies" video. You guys have made my trading sane again. I use all kinds of hotkey combinations with & without the mouse, so I had to set some of them up to use in the main IB window instead to avoid the confirmation popup, and then the orders & positions entered there aren't displayed in BookTrader, etc., etc. Your controller handles everything I could throw at it, except for one nit -- I get the TWS "Login failed - Invalid username or password" error every time I start it up (the username is fine but I can't see what's invalid about the obscured password). But who cares? I just type in my correct password & I'm off and running. Thanks again for a beautiful piece of work. ~William TWS Build 912.7 Java Version: 1.6.0_23 OS: Windows Vista HomePrem SP2
Please disregard my "Invalid password" complaint above. Afterward I discovered your script was encrypting it by default, although I hadn't supplied an encrypted version in the INI. Please also excuse my double-posting. Just newbie confusion
No. The zip package includes ReadMe.txt with detailed setup instructions. It's written in a way to be easy to follow even by less experienced computer users, so that anyone, and not just programing gurus can get everything up and running.
