IB - Booktrader 906 no more single click!

I'm gonna ask a friend of mine to make a video this WE to explain how to "install" it step by step .

I searched for it its in C:\Jts

 

put the ibcontroller dir also to c:
so it reads
c:\ibcontroller>

check if in the sampleIBControllerStart.bat file

the tws dir is set as :

set TWSDIR=C:\Jts\

I just did a quick windows install and it worked for me. It Found the jts.ini file and started up.
If it still does not work, you might need to wait for Marks tutorial video...
I have no other idea

Much appreciated for all the work you guys did. Still can't figure how to run IBController on a Mac since .bat files are incompatible. It's gonna take some more time... "damnit Jim, I'm a trader not a cracker!"

 

Okay I got it to work

In the IBController start file

It says
" For later versions of TWS, the information needed may change.
:: You can find the required information in the shortcut created when you
:: installed TWS. To locate this, right click on the start menu entry for
:: TWS and click Properties. In the field labelled 'Target', select
:: everything after "-cp " up to the first subsequent space character,
:: then press Ctrl-C to copy it to the clipboard, then paste it into the
:: following command, replacing everything after the "=" character

The bit about up to the subsequent space character is exact, delete everything after the subsequent space character exactly as it says.

Interestingly I am getting almost the same speed as the autokey solution.

But either way, I am happy thanks everybody, one click in book trader was very important to me.


Just got another confirm screen on booktrader, something to the effect that booktrader just auto-centered are you sure you want to modify order to ...?

Your best shot , unless someone here is able to help you, is to post the .bat file to a MAC forum. Basically you need to convert Dos commands to Applescript , Unix commands or to one of the scripting capabilities of your Mac OS ( Perl, php, Python, Ruby etc.).
To edit and copy the .bat file you need to rightclick its icon and select edit from the menu. Now you can copy-past the content to a forum.

 

Yes, the difference is only a few ms. The naked eyes can't really tell the difference unless you got superhero powers

In order to select and press the transmit button, the application needs to wait for the system to "draw " the interface of the "order confirmation" window. If we could simply close the window as soon as it's "called" by TWS, we wouldn't even see it because the "close" command doesn't need the "interface" to close the window, but that's not our case...

It worked fine last week, but in the meantime it appears that McAfee removed it from my PC. Now when I download Auto Confirm v4 from page 29 of this thread, I get alerted that a Trojan was detected (Artemis) and the download is not permitted.
