IB bad for charting?

  1. Why do I so many traders have to use ensign, esignal, stockfetcher, and a broker... maybe one for equities and another for options? Is there a good broker that does it all pretty well?

I've read traders at ET say that IB is good for some things like commissions and range of services but not for others like charting and a fast data feed or order execution.

    What say you?

  2. IB paired with a charting program like QuoteTracker or Amibroker is excellent (I've used both). Sierra and Ensign paired with IB are great as well I hear.

No problems with order execution, it's institutional-class. Datafeed is 1/4-second aggregated, which is fine for most unless you're running algorithmic systems.
