Well... as far as I know, any broker needs to get your details to open an account, which is current address, social security number, and yes... current phone number. That is necessary within the banking regulations...

So, since you have a problem with giving them your phone number... I seriously doubt you would also give them (or any other broker) the other details necessary to open an account...

Which make me come to the conclusion that you are just paper-trading... and therefore this thread shouldn't even be in here.....

PS... I don't know where the hell you got that 1M number from, thin air??

  3. It is the law to keep name and address for long time (at least 100 years) inside broker's file. No one argues it.
It is the duty of customer for receiving paper mail. Any court judge will think like me.

However, I may fly abroad frequently so that I cannot receive any phone signal.
I guess it is NOT duty of customer to receive PHONE SIGNAL.
I may go hiking at Everest. Court judge may say "You do not HAVE TO receive phone under current law".

  4. I am serious if broker asks me "No cell, no customer any more", then I leave.

The same is true for bank+insurance+others+... .

PS) I doubt that email and phone(text) is valid for OFFICIAL LEGAL NOTIFICATION. Tell me if there is different opinion.

You can authenticate via other methods but this post kinda stinks like the competition trying to pee on IB. Or you are member of Baron's 50 cent army. Of course there is a remote possibility that you are totally retarded to waste your time playing stupid or simply being stupid.

If you don't like IB why don't you go with another broker. If you don't like US brokers go with non US brokers. If. You don't like any brokers then don't trade. But don't bitch about irrelevant stuff without even having done the slightest inch of homework. Most all of your information you posted are factually incorrect.

Edit: reading your subsequent posts it has become perfectly apparent that you are begging to be on others' ignore list.

  7. Of course I should give address in case I owe money to brokers for loan.
Possible Lawsuit requires address in the court. NO OBJECTION at all.

If I were chair of IB, then I may say "No address no customer".

Uhm... no, you cannot open an account in which you can transfer funds without an address etc because of banking regulations regarding money laundering etc... has nothing to do with loans or lawsuits.

I think you're a bit thick in the head... move on paper trader...

So you want to do trades while at Everest? How are you going to do that without any phone OR internet reception mate? You have absolutely no idea... where are you from anyway? Because clearly you don't have a clue about regulations in the Western world....
