I am not an excel programmer at all but I downloaded the IB API because I wanted to have a spreadsheet with real time option quotes to do some calculations. Everything I wanted to do works fine I only have 1 problem and that is everytime I close the excel DDE and open it again and than add a new option serie it assigns a ticker id to the new option serie that is already in use so I get the quotes for an already existing option serie or stock in my spreadsheet. Is there a way to give the new option serie a ticker id that is not already used by an other option serie or stock? Thanks in advance!
