I just checked system status, and there is still no mention of the problem. I contacted IB via chat, and they told me they are hoping the nightly reset will fix the problem.
I contacted def earlier and he contacted techs and software people. They were working on it. It came right for me and is still right but I am being cautious on assumption I might have to ring up to close a position.
I somehow doubt that is going to fix the problem. I'm on the HK servers and am experiencing the problem. HK doesn't reset till late in the US afternoon. I agree - they have no idea what the problem is. You'll see notice on the system status once the issue has been resolved. That is typically how this service works (I'm being serious).
The TWS by itself is working fine. The problem arises when you try to connect your API software to it, then it freezes.
Same here with Ensign. Worked fine all last week, Sunday and today. First had a problem right after the IB midnight reset.
Using Ninja and still have the problem, got some guy from support who thought its the version of java so reinstalled that and same old issue tws 882 , java 1.5 release 14 which I downgraded to this morning. These guys are totally incompetent
