Hi I am located in Germany and have now tried for a good 4 hours to log into TWS. No replies to two E-mails and chat is crashing so i am asking here. Yesterday all was fine.
Thanks zdreg I changed the ini to: [Communication] Peer=gw2.ibllc.com:4001 and Bingo. Before it was gw1. What server is this? How many servers does IB have? Thanks again
what is ini what does the remain part refer to? I changed the ini to: [Communication] Peer=gw2.ibllc.com:4001
In the JTS folder i clicked on the jts.ini folder and there i changed Peer=gw1.ibllc.com:4001 to Peer=gw2.ibllc.com:4001 The servers are now changed but i dont know to which one. Maybe there is a better way of doing this.
Logging in works ok. After the latest update to I've lost the DDE API connectivity. I reverted back to the previous TWS and the DDE API works.
what exactly is this all about? i'm having similar problems sometimes. could someone from ib give us a hint about these settings, please? (btw. - i'm from europe too)
Please do not manipulate this setting. All accounts are set to connect on gw1. If gw1 is full, IB automatically routes the connection request to another gate way. Fishbird, Please PM your user name and the message you received when attempting to log in.
