IB and Thinkorswim chart loading speed

    Just did some quick searching and looks like the feeds in NT7 are only optimized for 1 core and then use the computers RAM to do the heavy lifting.

    So if you have an older CPU, most likely you CPU is becoming overloaded and slowing down. I would check your CPU usage when the charts are loading...the support pages say it shouldn't go over 25%. Or even if you have a newer CPU that isn't terribly fast you may see some slow loads since its only using 1 of the cores.

    From the help pages it looks like only the loading of the program, backtesting, and optimization get multi-core support while everything else just uses 1 of the cores.

    Then just do a google search for "speed up Ninjatrader CPU" or something of the sort and you may find some tips. But it looks like an architecture issue more than a feed issue.
