IB and the new $25k daytrading requirement

    Does anyone know if the new daytrading rule (see topic http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?threadid=1551 is going to apply to all types of trading accounts (futures, options, as well as stocks)? Def, do you have any insight into this new rule and how IB will be implementing it?

    It won't apply to futures because they are governed by the CFTC not the SEC.
