Probably repatriation of funds. Remember what was going on for those 3 months; bunch of people got scared.
could be, but all the other FCMs are building up the accounts, also the sum of all are higher every month... IB as one of the bigger ones is loosing....
IB has a universal account that only holds cash in the futures subaccount to margin overnight positions. The lower amounts just mean that customers don't want to hold futures positions overnight like they did a few months ago when volatility was lower.
