I trade automated (mostly daytrade) via IB's API and for the most part I'm very happy with them. Sometimes when I buy cheap stock I end up with 3-4k shares. That's not working well with the commission model that IB has, so I'm looking if there's another direct access broker I can use to route the higher share trades through. (e.g. flat rate of $5.99 up to 5k or 10k shares). Does anyone know any other brokers that offer a similar feature like IB's API that's somewhat usable (I've looked at OptionXpress but that's not worth it). My auto-trading is java/linux based, so a native java api would be preferable. thanks
