IB and firewalls

Don't know exactly where to post this but I suppose this is as good a place as any.

A new computer was delivered Friday and I'm in the process of getting everything set up. What I don't know is how to modify the firewall in order to avoid any problems with my IB feed. Don't know when I'll be able to get IB on the phone, and I'd like to have all this ready for Tuesday.

Any help will be mucho appreciated.

i use windows xp pro and all i had to do was to make exceptions for ports 4000 and 4001 - that's it.

 

which firewall do you refer to?
