  1. Hi I have a question regarding the monthly account statement.

I would like to send this to IB but there Help Form do not work so may be I find some help here.

    Question:
On the monthly account statements there is a point "Ending Settled Cash" How is this value calculated? Its different from the "Ending Cash"
I know all the other points and how to calculate them but not the value of "Ending Settled Cash" ?

    Thanks for help

Settled Cash is that which can be taken out.

    For example...

Equity trades may take 3 days to clear etc... So if you close an equity position yesterday, your "cash" will reflect it immediately, but not your settled cash - until the third day.

  3. thanks a lot

  4. will I be able to use this cash from a sold security immediately after selling it?
    Thanks.

    yes, you can

  6. You can use the cash unless you are a "pattern day trader". This categorization affects some accounts less than $25k (?).
