I wish I would have gone into the military. This is really boring.

Today spoke with the driver of the agancy, that i work with. He served 30 yrs in dutch army, retired just recently. He had highest, non-officer rank. A really nice , cool , intelligent person, we spoke about his daughter, his years of service etc. I was curious & it was interesting to listen.

But he works now as a driver. I don't judge him, i have no right, nor do i want to. Hmnn. I have nothing against any kind of job, but, at the age of 60, i don't want that kind of retirement.

Try arts, try traveling, go volunteer in africa, learn quitar/piano, exercise, mix it up with swing trading. There a multiple ways of ,, service " to your country.

Check youtube channel by Tom Bilyeu.

    Best of luck J.

    p.s someone wrote about igloo,
i can imagine, a convesation, with new neighbour :

,, What do you do for a living ?
    - Day trading equities, futures, currencies, bonds.

Hmnn. I see,... Remind me, -why are you building an igloo in your backyard?

    - I wan't to join the army.

    o_O....
    ( .... wind in background .... ) "

It is only 68 degrees here in West Texas, Isn't an Igloo an insulated container to keep beer cold? You have to build them now?

If you don't enjoy something, why keep doing it? You are only guaranteed to fail! I think being stuck to a 9 to 5 job is pretty boring. A lot of people would want to be successful traders in the stockmarket with the goal to earning a good living out of it. Each day is different and presents its own challenges. Just my 2 cents.

I think you were joking, but in case not, trading is not supposed to be entertaining. For a few, it's a job. For many, it's a form of charity.

    You can consider doing what I am doing ;
trade Asian, European & US markets.

Or try going to military as this is what you want.

Or go military and during off hours / off days,
    do trading.

What a luxurious problem to have. Try a trip to poorer countries, you'll appreciate what you have. As others have mentioned, why don't you travel? I'm sure the hotels in Florida have wi-fi by now.

I laughed when a drinking buddy, back when were teenagers, enlisted.
The next time I saw him he was a lieutenant, then he was in the equivalent of the navy seals..
    Now a general..

Make money from home and finish work by 10am every day. Sounds like a dream.

Since I left employment myself, it isn't quite the paradise you'd think. That's a lot of hours per day to fill. It becomes hard work as a job substitute.

    Rich white people's problems?

What does joining the military have to do with being bored trading?

Why would one want to be getting their emotional highs from trading?

    Being bored? WTF.
