tons of professional sports and movie stars post on twitter. it is a good way of quickly, conveniently and efficiently conveying short messages to your following group.

you are right, there is no gain to be had from it at all. I thought it was a good idea but then deleted all my tweets, maybe find a better use for the account or deactivate it.
