What you are implying is literally impossible, i would have had to have my trading account open, five minutes before the futures open cause it printed twice and it was locked limit down. If your implication is that i lost money today, yup i did. Lost 15k on the SPY's but i didnt short them till after the fed announcement and i was just early, what made me nervous was the thought of stimulus after that. Eventually if i would have held on I would have been proven right but thats trading. I made back most of it being long GLD so it didnt turn out to bad. Finished the day down 3300. First negative day in a couple weeks. I got what i deserved today, ive been an aggressive short seller on everything, but im not dumb enough to chase lock limit down and short the bottom, the same reason im not dumb enough to buy it. FWIW the other stock that cooked me today was BA, i shorted it aggressively into the parabolic move because airlines have been dead money, shorted it around 110, took it off around 112, it didnt work out. Shorts have been paying out, what can i say i was wrong, bad timing, had i held that it would have been in the money too... Thats life, thats trading.

Wasnt short at that point swear on my life, and I have no reason to lie, Im not carrying anything overnight in this environment, what i was gloating about was the fact that the market was lock limit down once again, I didnt have a way to short it, because it was already locked before i could who knows if it had dragged out and taken a while i might have gotten caught up in that and it would have been a disaster. But i wouldnt short into lock limit down for the same reason i wouldnt buy into it, its just a gamble at that point. Its different if you have breathing room based on that number, like if it was 2-3% away from lock limit down i might short into it, but i wouldnt stand 5 ticks infront of the lock and just short the first move up.
