Yes, I am and no, they weren't. And SNAP does need reform. But Conservatives (Republicans, TPs, whatever) go off the deep end too often and wind up saying things that make them look Dickensian. This tendency gives those who want to demonize them plenty of opportunities to do so.

"Rome’s Senate understood that hungry citizens have a habit of lynching their government representatives and burning down public buildings. So, from 123 B.C. until the day the Goths grazed their horses in the Forum, each Roman citizen was entitled to a welfare payment, a daily allotment of state-funded food . This would have amounted to five thousand tons of imported wheat having to cross Ostia’s sandbar every week, and that was just for the citizens. Counting the bellies of Rome’s women, children, and hundreds of thousands of slaves, the actual sum of imported grain was much, much greater."

Funny thing is, you liberals cry about akins comments on legitimate rape, but then support Bill Clinton who sexually abused people, and Hillary who brags about getting pedophiles off....

Liberal outrage would hold alot more value if they didnt make a habit of constantly supporting scum bags.

Actually I thought Clinton was terrible, and his wife is not likely to be any better, if not worse.

Democrat examples are a dime a dozen. But to say there wouldn't be any liberal talking points if the GOP didn't make some dumb statements is asinine.

What I said was that conservatives make it easy.

No, what you said was there would be nothing to sermonize about if conservatives didn't give them so much material.

See how annoying that is? That whole "have to explain everything" mentality?

I'm sure everyone else got the point.

    Here's another:

Men do tend to talk about things on a much higher level. Many of my male colleagues, when they go to the House floor they've got some pie chart or graph behind them and they're talking about trillions of dollars and how the debt is awful and we all agree with that...We need our male colleagues to understand that if you can bring it down to a woman's level and what everything that she is balancing in her life -- that's the way to go.

Lol. You know, huffingtonpost is an excellent aggregator of this stuff. I think of it every time I see one of Max's "the liberals said this!!" posts.

  10. Yet neither of you can come up with a republican president, speaker of the house and senate majority leader who can hold a candle to the lies and bullshit spewed by the unholy trinity of Obama, Pelosi and Reid.
