I was poor, but a GOP die-hard

  1. "The people who most support the Republicans and the Tea Party carry a secret burden. Many know that they are one medical emergency or broken down car away from ruin, and they blame the government. They vote against their own interests, often hurting themselves "

yup. One could call it just being stupid. All they think about is the tiny fraction of the budget wasted on undeserving minorities through the social safety net. So they shoot themselves in the foot just so those leeches don't get anything. They cut off their nose to spite their face.

You've been doing quite a lot of that lately, offering your opinions on articles you haven't read. How exactly does that work? Clearly it saves a lot of time.

  3. Hey it takes discipline to be an ignorant righty. That means learning as little as possible from any source other than Fox News and similar right wing propaganda outlets.

    Pathetic.

Just imagine what life would be like if the Fairness Doctrine hadn't been abandoned.

  5. Only shit-for-brains libturds like you two could relate to this idiot. This quote from the article says all one needs to know:

I finally “got it.” In 2012, I shunned my self-destructive voting habits and supported Obama. I only wished there were a major party more liberal than the Democrats for whom I could vote.

Because each year I tell them of other high poverty kids who graduated from high school and had hundreds of thousands of dollars in college scholarship money. Back in 2009 when I first spoke a graduating senior girl had $500K in college scholarships. A couple years later another one had $610K in scholarships. Poor kids understand money and that kind of money gets their attention.

And I tell them of careers in engineering, computer science, accounting, finance, medicine, etc.

Sorry, I'm not here to toot my own horn but when multiple schools call me and ask if I'll work with their kids I kind of think maybe I'm doing something right.

The bozo in this article made shitty choices at age 19 and has this chip on his shoulder as he goes through life. Instead of banging some 18 year old he'd likely have had a better life if he'd gone to college and graduated and only after becoming employed would he choose to have a kid.

Seriously. dbp is obviously another exGoper, with daily posting sprees intending to shill regularly while offering little in the way of actual conversation.
