what is the culture like at LEH? I was surprised when I learned that they initially started as a spin-off from American Express
I'd like to hear what type of attitudes are present in the culture at LEH. In my humble opinion, from what I've heard, Bear Stearns had somewhat of a reputation as arrogant and stand-offish, which hurt them in their time of need and also created a tendency toward self-delusion. Since I wasn't close to the action I don't know if this was true or not.
