I want to trade futures... oh and I'm 17

  1. I would use a glossary from the CW and try to speak in a language the public uses.

If I were among expert traders, then I would expect them to know my trading vocabulary.

How the market works is specific and unvarying. It has no flaws, noise nor anomalies.

The market is a three part system: structure, on going process, and the results of the process operating in the structure. furthermore the market is cyclical and the cycle is composed of two opposite types of trends (long and short). All trends in markets have three parts: two ends and a middle.

To understand how two opposed trends sequence, it has to be understood that all trends overlap. the reason that overlap is there (required) is simple to reason through. trends have to fail for the subsequent trend to begin. At this failure point, the overlap begins since the failure happens within the boundaries of trends.

trend boundaries could be chosen in any manner, BUT there is a requirement of systems that systems have many characteristics that make them pure. This eliminates noise, flaws, and anomalies.

I've spent 56 years quite capably. I chose to be retail and have lifelong freedom. At 25, I got out of grad school and worked at IBM data system division as a staff engineer. In summers while in school, I worked for Western Electric (WECO) and then BTL where on day one I was made an MTS as a consequence of a life time offer from WECO previously.

In college, I worked in the computer lab in the early 50's. Later, at UCSC we had two 360's back to back. At UCSC the concept of RDBMS was invented using those machines. UCSC was a consortium of 29 colleges and Universities; I ran two divisions.

I learned to trade in 40 days when I arrived at IBM. All I did was create the system of operation of markets. Within 15 years, the modern public tool for fully automating trading was invented.

To marry electronics and the system of operation of markets all that had to be done was use the mathematics of the markets on a digital computer. All of the mathematics for this, I have posted in ET as a series of tables.

Most people disagree with me; that is their perrogative. These detractors keep most people away from me by their characterizations of me.

On the otherhand, it is possible for a person to do the work of reasoning and reach the same conclusions I have.

I worked with teenagers for 10 years. Before and after connecting with me they took the math aptitude test. the 10 year sample of 100% of students was a 1.23 sigma shift in scores on a six sigma gaussian. Obviously, their aptitude advanced faster than their aging. Why? Among other things they all learned to position trade stocks using the system of operation of the markets. At least one student each year was able to pay his/her way through college by trading.

Since you are here and asking questions, would you consider doing the work to learn? If so, start doing the drills.

  4. Your offering a mentorship?Have you been succesful as a mentor in the past? What drills are you talking about?Do you provide material for the drilling purpose?

  7. These are popular boundary techniques.

    they all work.

The parallelogram boundaries known as channel boundaries or RTL and LTL, standing for Right and Left TrendLines, work most simply. As with anything you have to follow the efinitions for drawing boundaries. Not many people do, however. the values on the lines are considered in the parallelogram.

BB's get subjective since there are many ways to set up their defualts. Also with BB's there is a signal preference that needs to be made "in-lind". TN considers John Bollinger a favored client; by reciprocity, John contributes to TN and also runs seminars under TN's spnsorship.

For me, regression is not convincing since it only takes you to the the regression line. there is a boundary gap after this point, so it is incomplete as a system.

  8. so the channel-parallelogram is more appropriate?can we conclude that the channel serves the same purpose as as the lats.it`s kind of a diagonal lats and woks the same way as lats, that is,it should close outside the boundaries?

  10. but in school there is a programm, usually.you do not provide a mentorship and frivolously suggests to do the drills to build a mind, and then there is no material,as you said.next you suggest that asking Q`s is useless.what are you trying to do here?
