  1. GO TIE GO!

    bought at 33.05
    sold at 35.01

my analysis shows that TIE will be over-priced in the 35.11-35.49 area. I'll be shorting this one probably on Monday.

  4. The magic of 50MA. :D
TIE is rebouncing! 10% gain on one day :)

But we can't be too happy yet.

See how little Dow does in these days. If it keeps doing bad, TIE can't be against the big tide.

  6. its expiration activity! If you continue to trade options in front of expiration - you have to know what you're doing - or you won't "win some" very often! What I mean to say is- you have to learn and understand that expiration week has unique characteristics! Mastering it is another thing!

  8. it's too easy to chaulk the move up to options ex....

if that were true, then why wasn't the stock pinned around the 32.50 strike which it had been oscilating at earlier in the day, and was well below earlier?

  9. my point was its hard to explain moves like the one you alluded to as more than a "dead-cat" bounce other than expiration arb.

  10. point taken - i guess i was looking for an explanation for the move.

i've seen op-ex behaviour and this wasn't it - TIE floated up after the initial dive on light volume then got pumped by moderate volume, only to float to the close.
