Lots of people that get tried for things put the system on trial. They might be psychopathic and not really understand what they did wrong. I knew a guy that starved his daughter to death because she had a progressive neurological disease. It was before Y2K and he thought civilization was over with and she would be excess baggage I guess. He also was a militia type of a guy. When they came to arrest him he was yelling how he was being persecuted for his political beliefs..
