Sure, but that doesn't mean anything for a potential investor. An investor wants to know how you did over the years, in both a bull and bear market, they want to analyse the shit out of your performance, you will have to provide stats and make sure you are ready to answer any questions they might have regarding those stats. Just screenshots and saying i can do or did it won't do the job.

Unless maybe with someone you know, they might be easier to convince, if you want money from strangers you need to sell yourself and your strategy. Your performance needs to be outstanding but the way you present and sell it needs to be outstanding as well.

I don't think Thinkorswim has a decent account performance overview, but i am not sure. Long time since i have used them. However there are plenty of third party options.

  2. The trades are long and short on both green and red days all traded live intraday and occasionally overnight, so it should be apparent it works under all conditions. But I suppose they want long term performance because it might have all been luck. But if that's the case, then how do newcomers to the game that never traded get in? Even small noob funds score tens of millions.

Small noob funds are probably founded by people who already mean something in the financial world or are funded mainly with friends and family money.

If you don't have long term results it will be even harder. One thing you can't get around is advanced analytics of your past performance, no matter how long or short it is.

You might get lucky and you might find someone who is willing to start out small, but not without them having the opportunity to seriously analyse your past performance.

No one is going to even think about giving you funds with what you have provided so far. I am not trying to criticize you, that's just how it is.

Not a question of recognition but a question of believability.

Both of you showed outstanding results that put even the best professional traders on ET to shame. With those results why you need funding? As someone who trade full time it just does not make any sense to me.

There were many posters here who occasionally showed up and posted great "real time" trades with phenomenal results. Most were fakes, so we are skeptics.

    Here is one example: https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/my-trades.315067/

Well the result: If one had closed at Monday close, one would've made about $2+ profit but if one has held it until now, one would've lost about $9 so far. The stock did rise after the earnings numbers but for some reason, it nosedived hard after the conference call. Dunno what was said during the CC that was so bad that it would tank the stock that much. Since you did recommend keeping it until March 3 and sell it before March 3 close, let's see what happens tomorrow.

  6. Lots of great traders want more funding. George Soros, Jim Simons wanted it, etc etc. It makes more money.

In my thread, if you look near the beginning, many people were saying it would be fake and THEY set the criteria of calling a trade. I therefore obliged. Time-stamped, no edits. You can ask the posters on there, even the haters admitted it was real. I can even call my entries days and weeks in advance on a single scalp trade if I wanted to.

I posted the first of a 44 page monthly statement here for one of the haters who then said nothing. Shall I post the whole in it's entirety? Would you then believe?

    I see the difference.

I have no desire to be Soros or Simons so it was hard for me to understand your mindset. To me OPM is a headache I don't need.

Best wishes to you and hope you get your funding. I look forward to the day I can find you written up in the Wall Street Journal.

What are the two ways to pay for a string of losses? There are two extremes and hybrid styles in between. Its the first question I ask my students, so... lets hear it.
